INNOCEAN Canada today announced the appointment of Megan Rasmussen as Vice President, Business Development, as the agency continues to invest in building a modern, integrated growth engine to support its next phase of expansion.
The hire reflects INNOCEAN’s focus on accelerating growth across new categories, strengthening its approach to new business development, and evolving how it partners with clients in an increasingly competitive and fragmented marketing landscape.
Rasmussen brings more than 15 years of experience across creative and media agency, and client-side roles, with a proven track record of driving new business, leading integrated marketing programs, and building high-value client relationships. She has worked across a range of leading brands including CIBC, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, FedEx, and Mondelez.
Her career spans senior roles at agencies including Juniper Park\TBWA and Bensimon Byrne, where she led integrated client relationships and large-scale national campaigns. She also brings valuable client-side experience, having held senior marketing leadership roles where she was directly accountable for brand and revenue performance, giving her a strong commercial perspective on client needs and business outcomes.
In her most recent role as Director of Growth at WPP Media, Rasmussen led a high volume of complex new business pursuits across North America, working across multiple agency brands and disciplines to deliver integrated pitch solutions.
At INNOCEAN, Rasmussen will lead the agency’s business development efforts, working across disciplines to strengthen pipeline development, elevate pitch performance, and build long-term client partnerships. Her mandate includes helping expand INNOCEAN’s presence beyond its automotive foundation into high-growth sectors including CPG, financial services, retail, and more.
“We’ve been very intentional about how we evolve our growth model,” said John Killam, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Growth Officer, INNOCEAN Canada. “As the market becomes more competitive and more fragmented, winning today requires a more disciplined, integrated approach to new business—one that brings together creative, media, and client leadership in a much more connected way. Megan brings exactly that mindset, along with the experience to help us scale it.”
“There’s a real opportunity right now for agencies to rethink how they approach growth—not just how they win new business, but how they build meaningful, long-term partnerships,” said Rasmussen. “INNOCEAN has a strong foundation and an ambitious vision for where it wants to go next. I’m excited to be part of building a more connected, strategic, and forward-looking approach to growth.”
Her appointment comes as INNOCEAN continues to expand its integrated offering—bringing together creative, media, data, and production capabilities—to deliver more effective, scalable solutions for clients.
Rasmussen will play a key role in shaping how the agency shows up in market, strengthening its new business infrastructure, and driving sustained growth across both existing and new client relationships.
